What is this platform?
This is a platform designed mainly for language teachers, although it
can be also used in another fields of education. It allows you to integrate your exercises (which you can prepare using this platform) with one of the games available on this website. It aims to increase engagement of younger students in your classes.

How it works?

1. Create a question dataset
Start by creating a dataset. You can choose from different question types. Classic A/B/C questions, questions in which the user needs to type the correct answer or put the words in the correct order.

Don't have time to create your own datasets? Use the shared ones!

2. Select a game
Select one of the games available for your type of dataset. Currently the number of available games is quite low as the languagegames.fun platform is still at the early stage of development. This is likely to change in the future though.

3. Generate a link for students
or start the game locally
This link will allow them to access the game with your dataset. Alternatively you can start the game on your device, or show your students a special QR code. The last option is designed to work in the classroom - allowing the teacher to display a QR code on his whiteboard, PC or smartphone and students to access the game from their smartphones by scanning it.

4. Observe the results roll in
If the game is accessed through the link (or QR code) and the live reporting feature is enabled*, after finishing the game, the player is asked for his nickname. His result is then forwarded to the teacher's dashboard page.
* In order to enable this feature, all the players must have reached the age of consent in their country to be able to give their consent for data processing. For younger students, you still can use the game links, but without the live reporting feature.

All the games on the languagegames.fun platform should work on most modern mobile devices and PCs. There's no need to install anything, they should work out-of-the-box in a web browser. Click one of the demos to try them out without the need to sign-up.
FAQ
Is it free to use?
Yes, it is! As the languagegames.fun platform is currently in the early stage of development, it doesn't offer any paid options. In the future, the premium plans with some extra features may appear, however the accounts with the basic funccionality will still be free. Please note however that the currently offered free accounts have some limitations, like the maximum number of datasets per question type, or the maximum number of questions per dataset.
How can I get the support?
For the information about creating, managing and using your datasets, as well as running the games and generating the links for students, please refer to the help page. If you still have some questions about the platform usage, would like to report an issue or suggest a new feature, feel free to contact the website administrator: admin@languagegames.fun. I will be happy to help you.
